One-pan Cajun shrimp and rice with bold spices and tender shrimp. Easy, fast, and deeply satisfying.


Ingredients

1 1/3 cups uncooked long grain white rice

2 2/3 cups low-sodium chicken broth

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted, divided

1 teaspoon minced garlic

1 1/2 teaspoons paprika

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes


Instructions

1. Combine Cajun seasoning ingredients and set aside.

2. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a skillet, add garlic, half seasoning, and rice. Stir.

3. Add broth, bring to a boil, cover, and simmer 15 minutes.

4. Mix remaining butter with seasoning and coat shrimp.

5. Stir shrimp into skillet, cover, and cook 3 to 5 minutes until done.

6. Garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

Adjust cayenne for heat preference. Add cream for a richer finish.
