Description
This Chicken and Stuffing Bake is a creamy, comforting casserole made with tender chicken, savory stuffing, and a rich sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights or cozy family dinners.
Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
2 (10-ounce) cans condensed cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup milk
1 (6-ounce) box dry chicken-flavored stuffing mix
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. Spread the bite-sized chicken pieces evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Season with salt and black pepper.
3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the condensed cream of chicken soup and milk until smooth. Pour and spread this mixture evenly over the chicken.
4. Sprinkle the dry stuffing mix evenly over the soup layer.
5. Slowly pour the chicken broth over the stuffing, moistening as much of the mix as possible.
6. Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
7. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes, or until the top is lightly golden and the chicken is cooked through.
8. Let the casserole rest for 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm.
Notes
Cutting the chicken into uniform pieces ensures even cooking.
Allow the casserole to rest before serving to help the sauce thicken.
You can assemble the dish ahead of time and refrigerate until ready to bake.
