Ingredients

For the Pasta:

12 oz rotini or penne pasta
For the Salad:

1 1/2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved

1 cup fresh mozzarella balls (ciliegine or bocconcini)

1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, torn
For the Dressing:

3 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

1 garlic clove, minced

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente, following the package directions. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking. Transfer to a large mixing bowl.

Assemble the Salad: To the cooled pasta, add the halved cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, and torn basil leaves.

Prepare the Dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
