Ingredients

  • For the Salad:

    • 1 lb ground beef

    • Salt, to taste

    • Black pepper, to taste

    • 4 cups chopped lettuce (romaine or green leaf)

    • 1 cup grape tomatoes, halved

    • ½ red onion, thinly sliced

    • ½ cup dill pickle chips, chopped or whole

    • ⅓ cup cheddar cheese, shredded or cubed

    For the Dressing:

    • ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt

    • ¼ cup mayonnaise

    • 3 tablespoons sweet pickle relish

    • 2 tablespoons ketchup

    • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard

    • 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar

    • 12 tablespoons milk (optional, to thin the dressing)

    • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  • Make the Dressing:
In a bowl, mix together the Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, pickle relish, ketchup, mustard, and apple cider vinegar. Add salt to taste. For a thinner consistency, stir in 1 to 2 tablespoons of milk. Refrigerate the dressing while you prepare the salad.

  • Cook the Beef:
Heat a small amount of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, season with salt and black pepper, and cook for about 4–5 minutes until fully browned. Transfer to a paper towel-lined bowl to drain and cool slightly.

  • Assemble the Salad:
In a large bowl, add the chopped lettuce. Top with the cooked ground beef, grape tomatoes, red onion, dill pickles, and cheddar cheese. Drizzle with the special sauce dressing and toss until everything is evenly coated.

  • Serve:
Serve immediately as a hearty and flavorful salad that captures the essence of a classic cheeseburger.
