Description

Holiday Salad with Balsamic Dressing brings festive flavors with crisp greens, fruit, and a tangy-sweet vinaigrette. Perfect for any celebration.


Ingredients

For the Salad:

  • 3 to 4 cups mixed salad greens (about 6 ounces)

  • 3 to 4 cups chopped romaine lettuce (about 6 ounces)

  • 2 cans (11 ounces each) mandarin oranges, drained and patted dry

  • ½ to 1 cup crumbled feta cheese

  • ½ to 1 cup pomegranate arils (or substitute with dried cranberries or cherries)

  • ½ to 1 cup candied pecans or walnuts

For the Dressing:

  • ¼ cup white balsamic vinegar

  • ¼ cup olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

  • ¼ teaspoon salt


Instructions

  • In a large salad bowl, gently mix the greens, romaine, mandarin oranges, feta cheese, pomegranate arils, and candied nuts.

  • In a small bowl or jar, whisk together the vinegar, olive oil, maple syrup, mustard, and salt until fully combined.

 

  • Just before serving, pour the dressing over the salad and toss lightly, or serve the dressing on the side.
