Ingredients
- 2 medium potatoes, boiled and cubed
- 1.5 cups cooked chickpeas
- 1/2 cup finely chopped red onion
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup chopped cucumber
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon black salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon chaat masala
- 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons tamarind chutney
- 2 tablespoons mint chutney
- 1/4 cup sev (crunchy chickpea flour noodles)
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
Instructions
- Boil the potatoes until fork-tender. Let them cool slightly, then peel and cube them.
- Rinse and drain the cooked chickpeas. Set aside.
- Finely chop the onion, tomatoes, and cucumber.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the potatoes, chickpeas, and chopped vegetables.
- Sprinkle in the ground cumin, red chili powder, black salt, garam masala, and chaat masala.
- Mix thoroughly so the spices coat all ingredients evenly.
- Drizzle the yogurt, tamarind chutney, and mint chutney over the top.
- Toss gently to combine.
- Garnish with sev and fresh cilantro.
- Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.
