Description

  • Mixed Berry Caprese Salad blends berries, mozzarella, and basil in a vibrant, 10-minute summer dish.

Ingredients

    • ½ cup fresh blackberries

    • ½ cup fresh raspberries

    • ¼ cup fresh blueberries

    • ¼ cup cherry tomatoes (about 8), halved

    • 3½ oz green leaf lettuce (about 100 grams), chopped

    • 3½ oz fresh mozzarella (about 100 grams), sliced into bite-sized pieces

    • Fresh basil leaves, chopped

For the Balsamic Dressing:

    • 2 tablespoons olive oil

    • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

    • Kosher salt, to taste

    • Ground black pepper, to taste


Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper. Set aside.

  • Gently wash the berries and tomatoes, then pat them dry with paper towels.

  • Rinse the lettuce thoroughly and chop into bite-sized pieces.

  • Halve the cherry tomatoes and slice the mozzarella into small chunks.

  • Chop the fresh basil leaves.

  • In a large shallow bowl, create a base with the chopped lettuce.

  • Evenly distribute the blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, tomatoes, and mozzarella on top.

  • Sprinkle with chopped basil and drizzle with the prepared balsamic dressing.

  • Toss gently to combine and serve immediately.
