Description

Creamy skillet chicken with mushrooms, garlic, and thyme cooked in one pan.


Ingredients

1.2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1/4 teaspoon salt

Freshly ground black pepper

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

3 tablespoons olive oil

8 ounces cremini mushrooms

1 cup heavy cream

5 cloves garlic

4 tablespoons fresh thyme


Instructions

1. Slice chicken breasts horizontally and season with salt, pepper, and flour.

2. Sear chicken in olive oil until golden and cooked through, then remove.

3. Cook mushrooms in the same skillet until browned, reserving some for garnish.

4. Add cream and garlic, simmer until slightly thickened, then stir in thyme.

5. Return chicken to skillet and reheat gently.

6. Serve topped with reserved mushrooms and thyme.

Notes

Use low heat when reheating to prevent the sauce from separating.
