One Pot Korean Beef and Rice That Makes Dinner Effortless

Description

A savory one pot meal combining ground beef, rice, and Korean-inspired flavors for an easy dinner.


Ingredients

2 teaspoons sesame oil

1 white onion, diced

1 pound lean ground beef

½ cup low sodium soy sauce

1 ½ cups beef broth

1 tablespoon minced garlic

1 teaspoon minced ginger

¾ teaspoon red pepper flakes

1 ½ cups long grain white rice

2 teaspoons brown sugar


Instructions

1. Heat sesame oil in a large pot over medium heat.

2. Add diced onions and cook until translucent, about 3–4 minutes.

3. Stir in ground beef and cook until fully browned, breaking it apart.

4. Combine soy sauce, garlic, ginger, red pepper flakes, and brown sugar.

5. Add rice, beef broth, and sauce mixture to the pot and stir.

6. Bring to a boil.

7. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer 18–22 minutes.

8. Remove from heat and rest 8–10 minutes.

9. Fluff and serve hot.

Notes

Garnish with green onions or cilantro if desired.
